International Conference on Rule of Law Education for Central Asia

On  6 May 2011, the Russian, East European and Eurasian Studies  Centre at the Law Faculty of the University of Graz (Graz, Austria) convened an “International Conference on Rule of Law Education for Central Asia“.  Against the background of the EU Central Asia strategy, this conference aimed at combining the agendas laid out independently in the EU strategy “Rule of Law” and “Education” and developing the project of an EU Rule of Law Moot Court. Keynote speaker was the EU Special Representative for Central Asia, H.E. Ambassador Pierre Morel. In the afternoon questions of the cooperation in the “rule of law” and e-learning area were discussed as well as national and international “good practice” examples introduced. The presentations were followed by the presentation of the photo exhibition “From the Heart of Central Asia”.
